Ubud Nomad publishes under a single desk name. The reason is simple: no one page here is the product of one person, so attributing it to one person would be inaccurate. The Ubud Nomad Editorial Desk is what stands behind the text.

The subjects we keep

This site deals with long stays and relocation, visa and permit paperwork, where to stay and what things actually cost. Those are the areas where we have something specific to say; elsewhere we would just be repeating what is already published.

Checked, and not yet checked

Anything on this site that depends on a published rule can go out of date without any announcement. That is why a checked figure is labelled as checked and an unchecked one is labelled as unchecked, rather than both being presented in the same confident voice.

No credentials, and why

Nothing on this site should be read as professional, legal or medical advice, and no one behind it is held out as qualified to give it. We describe what is publicly documented and say where it came from; the rest belongs with the relevant office.
