What this desk publishes

Coverage on this site is organised around long stays and relocation; visa paperwork; what things actually cost; and where to stay. When a page changes hands, the person taking it over reads it end to end before their first edit.

How we handle what we have not confirmed

Rules, fares and schedules in Indonesia change with little warning. Where a figure has been checked against an official source, we state it plainly and say where it came from. Where it has not been checked, we say so on the page instead of filling the gap with an estimate that would read like a fact.

What this desk does not claim

There are no credentials, licence numbers or career histories quoted on this site. Claims like that need paperwork behind them, and we would rather publish nothing than publish something we cannot evidence. Treat these pages as background reading, not as professional advice.
